Order our new book about gigs, festivals and tours – it’s a celebration of everything we’re missing in 2020.
Since September, we’ve been busy working on a brand new volume of PAPERCUTS. This edition is destined to be bigger and better than the last one, which sold out within two weeks of our launch back in January 2020.
PAPERCUTS #2 is a collaboration between musicians and fans across UK DIY punk scene and further afield, celebrating the gigs, festivals and tours that mean so much to us. Clocking in at approx. 200 pages, it’s a high quality paperback book, filled with fiction, tour stories, essays artwork and live music photography.
It’s all edited and designed by Sarah Williams at Shout Louder and, this time around, every single penny of profit will be going to the Music Venue Trust. Even before the pandemic, grassroots music venues were facing closures and hardships, but MVT work to keep them open through education, support and lobbying for policy change.
We’re also re-printing our first volume of PAPERCUTS for those of you who missed out the first time. You can grab it on its own or in a great-value bundle of both books.

PAPERCUTS is an 80+ page paperback zine with contributions from 30+ authors and photographers, chronicling the community spirit of the DIY music community.
We’re proud to announce the pre-order of our paperback zine PAPERCUTS!
PAPERCUTS is a special collaboration between people from all different areas of the punk rock community: bands, fans and all things in between. We’re fortunate to be united through music, and we’ve attempted to condense some of that special bond into these pages.
Whether it’s finding love, overcoming loss, leaving home or finding a tribe, once you’re part of the DIY community it’s hard to see life any other way. Celebrate and commemorate that feeling with this lovely bumper print zine. Continue reading “PAPERCUTS: Announcing Shout Louder’s new book, celebrating punk rock community”
Shout Louder are teaming up with Be Sharp and Colin’s Punk Rock World to put on a weekend celebrating DIY punk rock in London.
Shout Louder are teaming up with our punk rock pals Be Sharp Promotions and Colin’s Punk Rock World to host Do It Together Fest 2020.
This new weekend event will celebrate the unique DIY music community that’s brought us all together, with live music, a record fair and a print zine especially for the event. We’ll be bringing our favourite artists from the UK and further afield for a friendly, welcoming party, while also fundraising for Mind.
Hosted at New Cross Inn, South East London’s premiere punk venue, we hope that Do It Together Fest will build on the success of 2019’s Shout Louder Fest. It’s a birthday party for all three Aquarian hosts, and it’s an opportunity to get friends from all walks of life in the same place.
Limited £10 Early Bird Weekend Tickets are available from the New Cross Inn website. Continue reading “News: Do It Together Fest Announced”
Shout Louder and Cold Front Photography have teamed up to create a one-off print zine celebrating Manchester Punk Festival.
We have some exciting news: Shout Louder and Cold Front Photography have joined forces to create our first ever photo book, commemorating Manchester Punk Festival 2019.
We’ve tried to capture everything that makes MPF so special: the culture, the community and the crippling hangovers.
This glossy 36-page photo zine showcases Josh Sumner’s (Cold Front Photography / Fair Do’s) best shots from the festival, including Incisions, Adrenalized, After The Fall, Wolfrik, Corrupt Moral Altar, Coproach, The Infested and Munice Girls. Excelling in dark, intimate photography, he’s captured the intensity of the festival perfectly.
This unique zine is much more than just gorgeous photos: Sarah Williams (Shout Louder / Lockjaw Records) has written a characteristically amusing and honest insight into the highs and lows of Manchester Punk Festival 2019.
We wanted to commemorate this festival that unites the world of punk rock with this photo book. MPF is onto something special: let’s celebrate that.
The photo book is available at a very reasonable price from Shout Louder’s webstore, along with some limited A3 poster prints.
